She is survived by four sons; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a sister, a sister-in-law, a brother in law as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband B. Wayne Currie, her parents: Fred and Gardie Dannatt, her brother Russell Dannatt, brother in laws Anthony Gotwals, John Brooks, and sister in laws Rose Dannatt, Joan Brooks, and Pauline Currie. Lois was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on May 24, 1927. She attended Garbetts Business College in Lethbridge and worked for Patterson Law Firm until her marriage in 1949. Lois had a lifelong love of music. She played piano in high school for a local dance band and continued her musical pursuits while teaching music lessons, accompanying many choirs and singing groups. She played the piano and organ at the Warner Evangelical Church every Sunday for more than 40 years. She was a very enthusiastic charter member of Southern Accord Chorus. She loved to travel, dance, play golf, and garden. If anyone ever wanted to play a game of cards or a board game she would be the first to eagerly join in. Lois was an intelligent, determined, and resourceful woman with a strong sense of family and community. She had a love for the simple pleasures in life and her family was always her primary focus of love and concern. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610, 4th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta with Pastor Brian Magee, officiating.
