She was born February 18, 1921 in Dallas to Fred and Sarah(Tracy) Lang. She graduated from Dallas High School. Lois married Bernard R. Whitley on September 16, 1939 in Butte, NE. They farmed north of Dallas for many years before moving to Rapid City in 1957. Lois was a member of the Canyon Lake United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 22 Auxiliary and the Minneluzahan Senior Center. She enjoyed dancing and playing cards with friends. Lois is survived by her son, Daniel Whitley, Rapid City, and numerous nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Whitley , March 24, 1986, one son, Terry Whitley, and 12 brothers and sisters. Condolences may be conveyed to the family at www.behrenswilson.com.
