Lois was born December 7, 1948 in St. Paul, Ne. to Frank R. and Verna Marie (Kyhn) McKoski. lOIS attended kindergarten while living in Beatrice (ne.) State Home. They educated her and took her to church there. In 1997, she moved to Grand Island, Ne. where she lived at Mid Nebraska Individual Services (MNIS). At Mid Nebraska, they took care of her just like family and they filled her days with many activities. lOIS enjoyed her stuffed animals especially the ones that played music... Lois was born December 7, 1948 in St. Paul, Ne. to Frank R. and Verna Marie (Kyhn) McKoski. lOIS attended kindergarten while living in Beatrice (ne.) State Home. At Mid Nebraska, they took care of her just like family and they filled her days with many activities. lOIS enjoyed her stuffed animals especially the ones that played music and looking at family photos. She loved playing with kids that were brought into MNIS. Another favorite of hers was food. She never passed up the opportunity to give a hug and her hugs were the best. Lois is survived by: brother & sister-in-law, Glen & Diane McKoski of Grand Island, NE.; sisters, Angela Rathbun of Grand Island, NE. and Margaret Petersen of St. Paul, NE.; five nieces, Lori, Ann, Desarey, Sarah and Elizabeth; eight great nephews and 2 great nieces; and her Mid Nebraska family. Lois is preceded in death by: parents; sister, Rose Marie McKoski; brother-in-laws, Lynn Rathbun and Eugene Petersen. Inurnment was in the Elmwood Cemetery, St. Paul, NE. Published in The Grand Island Independent on October 26, 2012
