She was born October 24, 1917 in Andover, Mass., to Wilfred and Florence (Hill) Nutton. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry S. Mack; they were married for 46 years. Lois graduated from Amesbury, Mass., High School in 1935. She trained to become a nurse and joined the army in 1943, serving with the 16th General Hospital in Europe during WWII. The Macks raised a family in Wilmington, Mass., where Lois was a homemaker, a member of the Rebekahs and a Girl Scout leader. She was a nurse at UNH and Plymouth State College infirmaries. She resided in Woodstock, Barnstead, Campton, Bushnell, Fla., and the John H. Whitaker Place in Penacook. Lois enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting; she gave her family and friends many handmade gifts over the years. Members of the family include two children, Pamela (Mack) Riel and her husband, Scott, of Manchester, and Clayton Mack and his wife, Pamela, of Webster; four grandchildren, Kenneth Mack of Lincoln, Rebecca (Riel) Beauchemin of Manchester, Jennifer (Mack) Conn of Lincoln, and Garrett Mack of Webster; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, August 30, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord. Funeral Services will follow in the chapel. The Rev. William Keeffe will officiate. Burial will be at 2:30 in the Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, Mass. Donations may be made in memory of Lois Mack to the Girl Scouts of Green and White Mountains, One Commerce Dr., PO Box 10832, Bedford, NH 03110-0832.
