She passed away on Sunday morning, June 15, 2014 at Elm Heights Care Center in Shenandoah, Iowa at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 7 days. Read More	Lois Mae Kluver was born December 8, 1923 near Hornick, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Clara (Washburn) Steinhoff. She passed away on Sunday morning, June 15, 2014 at Elm Heights Care Center in Shenandoah, Iowa at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 7 days. Lois grew up in Hornick and graduated from Denison High School in 1943. On October 17, 1947, she was united in marriage to Carl Emil Kluver in Denison, Iowa. This union was blessed with three children, Chuck, Ross and Joan. Lois owned and operated the China and Glass Shop in Shenandoah for many years. She had a great memory, she would have customers come in years after their wedding and she could remember exactly what kind of china they had purchased. Friday afternoon coffee at the China and Glass Shop was one of Lois´s favorite events. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved collecting antiques and both attending and hosting garage sales. She also enjoyed knitting. Lois was a member of St. John´s Lutheran Church in Essex. Her true love was her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Clara Steinhoff; her parents that raised her, Charles and Florence Miller; two sons, Ross and Chuck Kluver; great granddaughter, Brooklyn Olson; two sisters, Eva Humphrey and her husband Louis, Elda Byers and her husband Vic. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Carl Kluver or Essex, Iowa; her daughter, Joan Olson of Essex, Iowa; five grandchildren, Joshua Kluver of Phoenix, Arizona, John Olson and his wife Erin of Shenandoah, Iowa, Grant Olson and his wife Christina of Des Moines, Iowa, Christopher Olson and his wife Holly of Shenandoah, Iowa, Katelyn Olson of Kansas City, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Morgan Kluver of Phoenix, Arizona, Morgan Olson and Landon Olson of Shenandoah, Iowa; a brother, Jack Steinhoff of Whiting, Iowa; special cousin, Marion Thomas of Denison, Iowa; along with many other relatives and friends.
