Description	:	LOIS HARVEY Our loved one, Lois Sarah Harvey, was born October 6,1903 in Burwell, Ne. to Simon and Nancy (Keeper) Adler. She passed away at the Sargent District Hospital Feb.11, 1994 at the age of 90 years, 4 months and 5 days. Funeral services were held Feb. 14, 1994 at Rhoad Funeral Chapel with Dr. John Lover officiating. Deanna Goble was soloist and Linda Seifried was the organist. She passed away at the Sargent District Hospital Feb.11, 1994 at the age of 90 years, 4 months and 5 days. Funeral services were held Feb. 14, 1994 at Rhoad Funeral Chapel with Dr. John Lover officiating. Deanna Goble was soloist and Linda Seifried was the organist. Honorary pallbearers were David Goodwin, Dustin Christensen, Duane Brechbill, Dale Helmkamp, Jack Harvey, James Mactier, Kenneth Brechbill, Richard Hiser, Jim Harvey, Lyle Anderson and William Dukes. Pallbearers were Bill Goble, Bill E. Goble, Dan Dowes, Brandon Goble, Mark Goodwin, and Richard Redmond. Internment was in Kent Cemetery in Loup County. Rhoad Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. She was the last survivor of the Adler family of nine children namely Margaret, Hazel, Ruby, Fred, Homer, Bert, Raleigh, and Stanley. She attended school in the Burwell area and was united in marriage August 22, 1920 at Burwell to William Harvey. To this union was born one daughter, Norma Lee. Lois and Bill spent most of their married life on the homestead farm east of Taylor. They retired in 1975 and move to Taylor where they lived until Bill's death in Feb.1985. Lois then moved to sergeant and she and her sister, Ruby McCartney made their home together until Ruby's death in 1989. Lois then lived alone until she was hospitalized in January of 1993. She spent 2 1/2 months at the Sargent District Hospital and then was transferred to the Sargent Nursing Home until July. She then made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Norma Lee and Howard Goble until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Louis was soft spoken and dependable, a loving wife, Mother, and Grandmother and always ready to extend a helping hand to anyone in need. She had a deep personal, sincere faith. Whenever adversity came she would say, "The Lord will bend your back to bear the burden." Lois' back was bent many times during her life, keeping the family ties together and strong. She will be eternally cherished in the hearts of daughter and son-in-law, Norma Lee and Howard Goble, three grandchildren, 5 great-grandsons, 3 great great granddaughters, many nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends.
