Lois later was employed as a... Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * Lois V. (Capps) Lebo was born on Thursday; September 27, 1923 in Boone; Boone County, Iowa. Lois was the daughter of Ivan and Agnes (Swattosh) Capps. On Thursday; October 24, 1946, she married Roy Lebo at the First United Methodist Church in Boone, Iowa. Lois was a 1942 graduate of Boone High School. Before her marriage, from 1944 to 1946, she worked at the U.S. Treasury Department in Chicago; Cook County, Illinois. The couple farmed in the Jordan area for a number of years. Lois later was employed as a bank teller at the University Bank in Ames; Story County, Iowa before beginning work in 1968 at Iowa State University in the media resource center at Pearson Hall where she worked until her retirement in 1985. Lois enjoyed cooking, being with family, traveling, RV camping, attending Polka dances and was an avid ISU fan. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Boone, First United Methodist Church in Ames from 1968 to 1995, and the Grace Methodist Church in Des Moines; Polk County, Iowa from 1995 to 1997. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Magi Chapter of Boone. Lois V. (Capps) Lebo, age 83, of Boone, Iowa passed away at the Evangelical Free Church Home in Boone on Monday afternoon, May 14, 2007. She had been a resident at the Evangelical Free Church Home since November of 2003. Those left to mourn her passing are: One daughter: Debbie Billingsley and her husband: Mike of Cumming; Warren County, Iowa. One son: Phil Lebo and his wife Nancy of Grundy Center; Grundy County, Iowa. Three grandchildren: Andy Lebo and Ann Rouse of Grundy Center, Iowa. Jamie Beyer and her husband Kurt of Ames, Iowa. Dana Billingsley of Cumming, Iowa. Two great-granddaughters: Ella Barragy of Grundy Center, Iowa and Lucy Lebo of Grundy Center, Iowa. Also one sister: Helen Kopitzke and her husband: Herman of Boone, Iowa. Her parents, one brother and husband: Roy, in June of 2005, preceded her in death. May they rest in peace. Friends may call at the First United Methodist Church in Boone on Wednesday evening; May 16, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday morning; May 17, 2007 from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service. The family will be present at the First United Methodist Church in Boone on Wednesday evening; May 16, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. to greet friends. Funeral Services will begin at 100:00 a.m. on Thursday morning; May 17, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Boone, Iowa with Rev. Phil Webb officiating. Interment will be in the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone, Iowa. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
