Description	:	Mrs. Grant (Lola) Flowers, 79, of R.R. 1, Huron, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 1988, at Huron Regional Medical Center. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday, in the Welter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Ruedebusch officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Iroquis. Lola Belle Harrison was born May 1, 1909, at Royal, Iowa, to Arthur J. and Esther (Camp) Harrison. She came to South Dakota with her parents in 1911, to the Carpenter area. Lola Belle Harrison was born May 1, 1909, at Royal, Iowa, to Arthur J. and Esther (Camp) Harrison. She came to South Dakota with her parents in 1911, to the Carpenter area. She attended rural schools and her mother died in 1923, so she spent the winter of 1924 in Illinois. She came to Huron in 1925. She was employed at Swifts and Company, Nick's Candy Kitchen, and Armour and Company. She married Grant Flowers Dec. 22, 1927. They lived their entire married life on a farm in Hartland Township. She was a member of the Triange Extension Club, Farmers Union, the senior center, and handicapped children. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Pierce and Gerry Flowers of Elkgrove, Calif., and Leland Flowers of Huron; seven grandchildren, Nola, Crystal, Kimberly, Karen, Shannon, Garrett, and Kathy; two great-grandchildren; her stepmother, Mary Harrison of Salen, Ore.; and one sister, Elva M. Denison of Virgil. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jan. 9, 1983, one grandchild, Grant Dirk, and her parents. Contributor: 47044037
