She died at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan, Dec. 27, 1989 at age 63 years, one month and 29 days. She was baptized, received her First Communion and was confirmed at St. John's Catholic Church at Onawa. She attended school at Onawa and graduated from Onawa High School with the class of 1944.Jan. 23, 1946, she married Virgil Hodapp at St. John's Catholic Church in Onawa. 12 children were born to this union.... After they were married, they made their home in Harlan, where they raised their children. She worked at Pamida; Earl Mays and also for Mary Kay Cosmetics over the years. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michael's Guild and the Ladies Auxiliary to the V.F.W. #941 all of Harlan.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Vienna and one son, Neil. She is survived by her husband, Virgil of Harlan; three daughters, Linda (Mrs Rolie) Christensen of Sacramento, CA;Vicki (Mrs Gary) Michaelsen of Walnut; and Cindy (Mrs Jeff) Sierzant of DesMoines; seven sons, Keith of Solon; Wayne of Castle Rock, CO.; Dave of Littleton, CO.; Rich of Mathew, N.C.; Joe of Slater; Stacy of Littleton, CO.,and Randy of Denver, CO.; 18 grandchildren; one sister, Pauline (Mrs Franklin) Baker of El Cajon, CA; nieces and nephews and other relatives.A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Dec. 30,1989 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Harlan with Rev. Edward Kelly as the celebrant. Burial was in Harlan cemetery with Tim Hodapp, Mark Heller, Paul Hodapp, Gary Murray, Travis Hodapp and Craig Hodapp serving as casketbearers. Pauley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
