Description	:	Lola May (Haufle) Wennblom, 86, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 31, 2010. Lola was born May 9, 1924, to Bertha (Nelson) Haufle and Ernest Christ Haufle of Lake Preston, SD. Lola grew up on the Haufle homestead, 9-miles south of Lake Preston. She and her sisters Ruby and Beverly and brother Dale attended Lake Preston Public schools. Lola was born May 9, 1924, to Bertha (Nelson) Haufle and Ernest Christ Haufle of Lake Preston, SD. Lola grew up on the Haufle homestead, 9-miles south of Lake Preston. She and her sisters Ruby and Beverly and brother Dale attended Lake Preston Public schools. Lola enjoyed music and learned to play piano at an early age. After graduating from high school, Lola trained in the Cadette Nurse Corps in the early 1940s. During that time, she was introduced to her life-long companion and husband John A. Wennblom. They were married on July 20, 1951, enjoying 59 years together. Lola worked as a registered nurse in health care facilities including DeSmet and Lake Preston, SD, and Wahpeton, ND. Lola enjoyed being with family and friends. She was dedicated to her children and grandchildren, as well as her nursing vocation, providing care and compassion to each of her patients through the years. Lola was a member of Woodbury Lutheran Church, Woodbury, MN. She and her husband John were also residents of Lidgerwood, ND for 15 years. Lola's faith in her Lord Jesus was evident in her active membership in churches in North Dakota and South Dakota. Lola taught Sunday school classes, served as church organist and directed church youth choirs during her lifetime. Lola's parents, Bertha and Ernest, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, John, Minneapolis, MN; six children: Steven (Carol) Wennblom, Fargo, ND; Sally (Mike) Hazelhoff, Fergus Falls, MN; Susan (Joel) Varberg, Maplewood, MN; Sonja (Brian) Bercich, Shakopee, MN, Daniel (Beth) Wennblom, Colorado Springs, CO; and Nathan (Linda) Wennblom, Aliquippa, PA; and fourteen grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Ruby Malde, Santa Rosa, CA; Bev (Don) Stevens, Lake Preston, SD, and brother Dale Haufle, Lake Preston, SD. Funeral: 3:00 pm – Monday, August 2, 2010, at Augustana Health Care Center Chapel, 1007 E 14th St., Minneapolis, MN. Interment: 3:00 pm – Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Oldham, SD.
