She attended schools in Hamilton and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1941. She attended Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. She was united in marriage to Rev. Wilbur C. Lindsley of Green Bay, Wisconsin in 1944. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1960. She later married Conrad Ide. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2004. They served churches... She attended schools in Hamilton and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1941. She attended Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. She was united in marriage to Rev. Wilbur C. Lindsley of Green Bay, Wisconsin in 1944. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1960. She later married Conrad Ide. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2004. They served churches in LaCross, Kansas, McCook, Nebraska, and Pittsburg, Kansas. She devoted most of her life to raising nine children. Mrs. Ide served as Volunteer Director for the Mental Health Clinic in McCook, Nebraska; Assistant Manager of the Community Emergency Shop in Lincoln, Nebraska and worked in the Mental Health Unit for ten years at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center, retiring in 1987. Membership was held in the St. John Lutheran Church of Pittsburg where she took care of the library. She also did a lot of volunteering work in Pittsburg that included Help, Now, Mother to Mother Ministry, Wesley House and Hospice Compassus. Lola considered one of her greatest achievements graduating from Pittsburg State University in 2011 at the age of 88. Survivors include three sons, Stephen Lindsley of Clarkston, WA, Paul Ide and his wife, Cendy of Leawood, KS, Rev. Michael Ide and his wife, Linda of Manhattan, KS; six daughters, Wren Ide of Kenosha, WI, Susan Petz and her husband, Tom of Lawrence, KS, Ann Bailey and her husband, Kevin of Abilene, KS, Robin Vivers and her husband, Brett of Overland Park, KS, Miriam Morrison of Frontenac, KS, and Connie Poss and her husband, Brad of Salt Lake City, Utah; seventeen grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a sister, Joan Robinson and a brother, Elwood Inloes. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 3) at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Thomas Wehrman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 2) at the Brenner Mortuary, where friends may call after 10 a.m. to sign the register book. Inurnment will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be given to the St. John Lutheran Library or SEK Humane Society. These may be left at or mailed to Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th Street, Pittsburg, KS 66762. Friends may also leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com.
