Description	:	Lon Jesse Adams, age 79, of Shell Knob, passed away Monday, June 26, 2006, in his home. He was born November 22, 1926, in Sedan, Kansas, the son of J.A. “Pete” and Fern (Tucker) Adams. In 1955 he married Doris Jacobson, who preceded him in death. In 1974, he was united in marriage to Dixie Christensen, who preceded him in death on October 30, 2001. Read More	Lon Jesse Adams, age 79, of Shell Knob, passed away Monday, June 26, 2006, in his home. He was born November 22, 1926, in Sedan, Kansas, the son of J.A. “Pete” and Fern (Tucker) Adams. In 1955 he married Doris Jacobson, who preceded him in death. In 1974, he was united in marriage to Dixie Christensen, who preceded him in death on October 30, 2001. Lon was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army. He was a permanent member of the Hebron American Legion and the Hebron, Nebraska Masonic Lodge. He was a funeral director in Hebron, Nebraska, where he owned and operated Adams-Tibbetts Funeral Home. Lon and Dixie retired in 1990, when they moved to Shell Knob to make their home. He was a member of Central Community United Methodist Church, Shell Knob, Abou Ben Adhem Shrine and Legion of Honor in Springfield, Missouri. His survivors who loved and adored him are daughters, Sharon Roos and her husband, Larry of Sheridan, Wyoming, Nancee Gardner of Lincoln, Nebraska, Sally Greathouse of Marietta, Ohio; sons, Bryce Jacobson and his wife, Mary of Hampstead, North Carolina, Kelly Christensen and his wife, Lisa of Lafayette, Louisiana; sisters, Erma Lee Sack and her husband, Kenneth of Shell Knob, Gloria Chappell and her husband, John J. of Las Croces, New Mexico; a brother, Lee Tice of Shell Knob, Missouri; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nieces; nephews and many wonderful, caring friends. Funeral services were held . Friday, June 30, 2006, in Central Community United Methodist Church, Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Private burial was in Minden, Nebraska.
