Loraine attended Elm Creek, Nebraska Public Schools and graduated in The Class of 1934. After attending Kearney State Teachers College now The University of Nebraska at Kearney, Nebraska she taught schools in Buffalo and Phelps Counties of Nebraska. Loraine and her family farmed northwest of Elm Creek, Nebraska for more than 30 years. She was a member of First Christian Church in Elm Creek, Nebraska and was active teaching Sunday school, in choir, and playing the piano and organ. After moving to Kearney, Nebraska in 1965, she worked at Mother Hull Home of Kearney, Nebraska for 16 years. She became an active member of the Kearney Christian Church of Kearney, Nebraska and was involved with CWF and Efficiency Sunday School Class and Royal Neighbors of America. Survivors are daughter, Arlys Lange and her husband, Roger, of Overland Park, Kansas; sons, Gary and his wife, Janice, of Kearney, Nebraska and Craig and his wife, Vicky, of Bertrand, Nebraska and a host of relatives and friends. Loraine was welcomed into The Heavenly Home by her parents, William and Georgia Glaser; husband, Robert Stephens; by a sister, two grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
