Description	:	Mrs. Loredith Mae Taylor Johnson, 76, of, Mount Airy, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving children. Mrs. Johnson was born in Surry County, Oct. 15, 1933, to Ed and Ida Felts Taylor. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Johnson was born in Surry County, Oct. 15, 1933, to Ed and Ida Felts Taylor. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Kenneth Walker; Portia and Jeffery Tate all of Mount Airy; three sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Debbie Johnson of Ararat; Eddie and Della Johnson of Pinnacle; Daron and Petra Johnson of Mount Airy; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Underwood; a half sister, Connie Puckett both of Mount Airy; several nieces and nephews; and a very special "angel", Peggy Pell, who lovingly cared for Mrs. Johnson for so long. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by brothers, Ed Taylor Jr. and Leonard Taylor and a half sister, Georgia Wilhite. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Oakdale Cemetery by the Rev. Dennis Moore. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home from 12:30 until the time of the service and at other times at Mrs. Johnson's home, 508-A Merritt St. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
