Description	:	Loren Edward Kling, 90, of Lenexa, Kan., passed away early Friday morning, January 16, 2015. Loren was born to the late Adam Henry and May Marie (Clark) Kling on Sept. 22, 1924, in Howard, Kan. He graduated from Howard High School in 1942. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and later joined and retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Army Reserve. Read More	Loren Edward Kling, 90, of Lenexa, Kan., passed away early Friday morning, January 16, 2015. Loren was born to the late Adam Henry and May Marie (Clark) Kling on Sept. 22, 1924, in Howard, Kan. He graduated from Howard High School in 1942. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and later joined and retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Army Reserve. Loren married Elizabeth Ardelia Weyrauch on Feb. 26, 1950. They were married for nearly 65 years, living in Howard until 1968 when they moved to Lenexa. Loren was a long time federal employee, having worked for the United State Post Office in Howard, and retiring from the Social Security Administration in Kansas City, Mo., in 1986. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church and past commander of Carter Rader Post 149 of the American Legion in Howard. During his life he was a leader of the 4-H Club in Elk County, Kan. Hunting, fishing, camping, and snow skiing with family were just a few of the activities Loren enjoyed throughout his life. Loren is survived by wife, Elizabeth of the home; daughter, Sandra Keast (Mark), Clovis, NM; daughter, Beth McDaniel (Dennis), Ogden, Utah; son, David Kling (Cindy), Olathe, Kan.; son, Delven Kling (Jackie), Imperial, Mo.; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by one granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Lenexa United Methodist Church and Carter Rader Post 149. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Lenexa United Methodist Church. Family members gathering at 2 p.m. in the Wesley Room.
