Description	:	Daughter of Emil J. and Anna Clara (Wilke) Wurdeman. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church and attended Wilson School and graduated from Leigh High School in 1940. Lorene then attended Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Nebraska, for one year. She was united in marriage to Walter Hollman on April 4, 1943, in Leigh, Nebraska. Together they farmed in rural Platte County and were members of Christ Lutheran Church. Lorene taught Sunday School, was a member of the "Growth for both", and the Lutheran Laymen League. Walter passed away on April 28, 1966. Lorene married Otto Knapp, Sr. on August 9, 1975, at Christ Lutheran Church. Otto passed away on March 17, 1976. Over the years, Lorene worked for many businesses in Columbus, but her love for flowers made her years at Wilke Landscape Center her most enjoyable. She had a strong Christian faith which got her through the many trials in her life. Lorene provided a "taxi" service for over 18 years to several of her lady friends to make sure that they were able to attend church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and neighbor.
