Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Family and casketbearers are requested to meet at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. She died Wednesday, March 1, 1995, at St. Luke's Midland Regional Medical Center. Lorentena Spitzer was born April 3, 1904, to Fred and Barbara (Kramlich) Spitzer near Long Lake. She grew up in the area. She married Christof Retzer on Nov. 30, 1922, near Ashley. They were married from 1922 to 1970. During this time they farmed in McPherson County, south of Ashley until 1946, when they moved to Aberdeen. She married Sebastian Selzler on Sept. 15, 1972, in Aberdeen. He died in 1980. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Aberdeen. Survivors include one son, Harvey L. Retzer of Ashley; two daughters, Mrs. Ben (Frances) Bendewald and Mrs. Don (Eunice) Weismantel, both of Aberdeen; one brother, Leo E. Spitzer of Lodi, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Anna Scheid of Aberdeen; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband who died April 25, 1980, three brothers, five sisters and one granddaughter. Casketbearers will be Gavin Retzer, Doran Retzer, Ronald Retzer, Edward Selzler, Ray Schanbel and Alvin Leicht. Pianist and soloist will be Judy Retzer. Ushers will be Larry Rabine and Edwin Mintz.
