Friedrichsen at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 22 days. Mr. Friedrichsen was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, Aug. 17, 1845. Friedrichsen at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 22 days. Mr. Friedrichsen was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, Aug. 17, 1845. In 1873 he came to this country and settld on the farm now owned by George Glahn, where he resided up to five years ago, when on account of failing health he left the farm and has since then made his home with his children. Dec. 14th 1874, he was married to Elise Christina M. Jacobsen, who with six children survives. They are Mrs. Hans Meggers of Malone; Mrs. George Gluesing, south of Charlotte; Mrs. Henry Brusse of Mile; and Miss Minnie Friedrichsen, at home; Sanke Friedrichsen of Huron, S.D., and Andrew Friedrichsen of Goose Lake. He also leaves a brother, Frederick Friedrichsen, of Goose Lake, and a sister, Mrs. Emil Ketelsen, Charlotte; also a brother and sister in Germany. Mr. Friedrichsen was a kind and loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by his bereaved ones. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Jobes (SP) and was held at 12 o’clock Friday, with interment at the Rossiter cemetery. Albert Dohrman, Edwin Bengston, Henry Laren and Arthur Petersen were Clinton callers Wednesday. Chris Michaelsen of Clinton was here to attend the funeral of his uncle, Lorenz C. Friedrichsen Lorenz was the oldest child of Soenke Friedrichsen born on Sep 7, 1818 in Ebuell and died on Apr 23, 1879 in Ebuell, Germany and Botilla Dorothea Lorenzen born on May 10, 1821 in Ost Bordelum and died on Jan 8 1894 in Ebuell. Lorenze had 8 siblings. Lorenz (1st), Catharina (2nd) and Friedrich (5th) immigrated to the Charlotte, Iowa area and farmed. Lorenz and Catharina (Emil) Ketelsen are buried at Rossiter Cemetery. Friedrich is buried at Glahn Cemetery. The parents and other five siblings remained in Germany. Their nephew, Christian Michaelsen immigrated to the area later, but his parents and sibling remained in Germany. His mother was Christina (4th).
