Description	:	Loretta Fuegen went home to be with her creator on February 1, 2010. She passed peacefully at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. Loretta was born May 2, 1918 in Parkston, S.D., the second of eight children born to John and Clara (Heirigs) Janish. She married Walter Fuegen on October 21, 1939 in Brule County. They spent their lives farming in Buffalo and Brule County. With their children growing up, Loretta worked in many areas of retail with local businesses. She passed peacefully at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. Loretta was born May 2, 1918 in Parkston, S.D., the second of eight children born to John and Clara (Heirigs) Janish. She married Walter Fuegen on October 21, 1939 in Brule County. They spent their lives farming in Buffalo and Brule County. With their children growing up, Loretta worked in many areas of retail with local businesses. After they retired and moved to Chamberlain Loretta found herself at Al’s Oasis where she worked until she moved to Mitchell, SD. In the Mitchell area she worked at Coborn’s until she retired in 2009. She enjoyed spending time with her family, game shows, scrapbooking, crocheting, watching the basket ball games of her niece’s children, while writing everyone letters faithfully over the years. She made many trips to Cheyenne, WY to see her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loretta is survived by her daughter Linda Specht of Cheyenne, WY; three sisters Leona Young of Mitchell, Margaret Reuland of Kimball, Clara McGregor and husband Wally of Kimball; a brother Ray Janish and wife Doris of Kimball; four grandchildren Nancy Knaub and husband Marty of Cheyenne, WY, James Saukerson and wife Yvonne of Kimball, NE, Thomas Saukerson of Burns, WY, and Sara Ingram and husband Brian of Lingle, WY; seven great grandchildren Alyssa, Lucas, Drew, Sean, Steve, Serena and Rick. Loretta was also survived by 35 nieces and nephews along many other friends and extended family. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, her son John, her husband Walter, her grandson Daniel, her sister Maxine, brothers Albert and Lewis, niece Yvonne and nephew Michael.
