Loretta, daughter of Charles and Marie (Plooster) Menning, was born October 5, 1932, at the family home at Harrison, South Dakota. Loretta attended Orchard High School in Orchard, Nebraska, graduating with the Class of 1950. On October 7, 1950, she was married to Charles P. Watson. Read More	Loretta Jean (Menning) Watson, died Friday, October 25, 2013, at Heritage of Bel Air, Norfolk, Nebraska. Loretta, daughter of Charles and Marie (Plooster) Menning, was born October 5, 1932, at the family home at Harrison, South Dakota. Loretta attended Orchard High School in Orchard, Nebraska, graduating with the Class of 1950. On October 7, 1950, she was married to Charles P. Watson. The couple was blessed with five children: Cheri, Mary, Scott, James "J.B." and Michael Jon. During her lifetime, Loretta lived various places in the Midwest, including Orchard, Plainview, Wayne, and Norfolk, all in Nebraska, as well as Atlantic, Iowa. While living in Plainview, Nebraska Loretta worked for Harold Mauch at Mauch Studios photography, and was an active member of the Order of The Eastern Star. When she moved to Norfolk, Nebraska, Loretta worked with Merle Norman cosmetics until her retirement. Loretta's strength and will to live were amazing. Her love and generosity towards her family and friends was unending. She will be greatly missed and live on in our hearts forever. Loretta is survived by: children, Cheri (Todd) McDonald of Norfolk, Nebraska, Mary Jirkovsky of Omaha, Nebraska, Scott (Sandy) Watson of Norfolk, Nebraska and J.B. (Kelley) Watson of Pierce, Nebraska; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Redella Menning Woelfer of St. Louis, Missouri and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by: father, Charles Menning; mother, Marie Plooster Menning; step-mother, Anna May Carlson Menning; son, Michael Jon Watson; brother, Floyd Menning and sisters, Fonda Menning Holiday and Irene Menning. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Norfolk, Nebraska.
