Description	:	Loretta M. Epley, 82, of Pleasanton died on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Pleasanton. Pastor Dean Hanson will officiate and burial will be at the Pleasanton Cemetery. Loretta was born on September 19, 1936 on the family farm northwest of Pleasanton, NE to Lloyd and Mildred (Zimmer) Lammers. She attended Pleasanton High School and graduated with the class of 1954. She married James H. Epley on June 2, 1954 at Zion Lutheran Church in Kearney, NE. Loretta and Jim belonged to Grace Lutheran Church in Pleasanton their entire lives. Loretta volunteered her time and talents at the church for funeral lunches, bible schools and anything else that was needed over the years. Her church was very important to her. She enjoyed following the local youth sports teams and attending games around the area whenever she could. Loretta worked for several years at the Sand Bar Café where she enjoyed baking pies and visiting with customers. She especially enjoyed spending time with family. Surviving relatives include her sons, David (Kris) Epley of Wood River, NE and Doug (Marche’) Epley of Pleasanton, NE; daughter, Deanne (Steve) DeTurk of Amherst, NE; sister, Darlene (Lee) Pfeiffer of Kearney, NE; brother, Jerry (Pam) Lammers of Pleasanton; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews extended family and friends. Loretta was preceded in death by her Parents; husband, James Epley.
