Desveaux 12-31-1945 Morning Sentinel (Waterville, ME) - Wednesday, July 13, 2005 ME United States WINSLOW -- Loretta Marie Desveaux, 92, passed away Monday, July 11, 2005, at the home of her daughter, Mary Lou, and husband Michael in Winslow. She was born in Waterville on June 22, 1913, the daughter of Henry and Edith King. She had been living with her daughter and son-in-law for the past 14 years. An employee of the C. F. Hathaway for 39 years, Loretta often said the Hathaway job made it possible for her to raise her children. She will be remembered for her love of vacationing to the islands, her most favorite being Hawaii. She will be most remembered for her love of playing cards and her summer time around the pool. Loretta will be sadly missed by her family and friends, her cat Cleo, dog Jessie and her buddy and protector Tasha. Besides her parents, Loretta was predeceased by her brothers, Ralph Roy and Lionel Roy; a sister, Cicile Roy; two daughters, Joyce Marie Paradis and Cynthia Lee Crowell. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Winslow. The family would like to thank all of the HealthReach Hospice staff who helped with Loretta's care. Family and friends will gather for visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 15, at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, at St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation in Loretta's memory to Health-Reach Hospice, 212 Main St., Waterville, ME 04901.
