Description	:	The Clinton Herald, Mar 18, 2004 CLINTON - Loretta Ann Cleary, 94, of Clinton, died Monday at the Bluff Terrace Nursing Facility, Clinton. Services will be held at Prince of Peace Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church Wednesday. The Schmitz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Clinton. She was born Oct. 4, 1909, in Clinton County to James L. and Theresa Gertrude Costello Watters. She married Francis Patrick Cleary on Oct. 29, 1942, in Clinton. He died in 1986. She was employed with the DeWitt Telephone Office for several years prior to working in the sewing department at the Clinton Garment Factory where she retired. She had been a caregiver to many people for several years. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish. She received government recognition for her war efforts and for heading the Women of Foreign Wars during World War II. Survivors include one sister, Frances Hovey of DeWitt; one brother, Leonard Watters of Lamont; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
