Description	:	Groton - Funeral services for Lorine Rosenow, 89, of Groton will be 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Groton. Rev. Craig Grams will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, under the direction of Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton. Lorine passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen. Lorine Lucille was born Dec. 14, 1914, in Plana, S.D., to Arthur and Cora (Stauffenberg) Thurston. Lorine attended Wagner Grade School near Putney, and graduated from Groton High School in 1933. Following school, she worked at Miller's Merchandise Store in Groton. On Aug. 18, 1933, she married Frank Rosenow at the courthouse in Webster. They lived on a farm southwest of Groton. In 1956, they moved to Montgomery, Ill., where Lorine worked at Strathmore Printing Company for 13 years. They returned to Groton in 1968 to care for Lorine's parents. Lorine was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Groton. She enjoyed playing cards, visiting with friends and family, crocheting and other crafts. Survivors include her brother, Norman (Audrey) Thurston of Groton; sister-in-law, Volley Thurston of Groton; one niece, Carole (Merle) Hanson of Groton; two nephews, Steve Thurston of Groton, Gary (Linda) Thurston of Groton; and many great- and great-great nieces and nephews. Lorine was preceded in death by her husband Frank in August of 1997, her brother Lyle in August of 2000, her parents and one infant son, Frank. Casketbearers will be Tim Thurston, Kevin Knoll, Steve Thurston, Gary Thurston, Loren Wheeler and Merle Hanson. Published in the Aberdeen News on 11/15/2004.
