BORRETTE PASSED AWAY IN ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL. Demise Occurred Thursday Noon, Caused by Caesarian Operation Last Monday—Deceased Was Native of Calistoga. Mrs. Harry V. Borrette has answered the call of the Silent Messenger. The sad news reached here Thursday that this much esteemed young matron of Napa had passed away at the St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco at the noon hour. Mrs. Borrette was taken to San Francisco last Sunday, when in a very serious condition, and on Monday Dr. Harry Abrons performed a Caesarian operation upon her. The child lived only a short time. Tuesday, the mother's condition was very dangerous, and on Wednesday she became much worse. Word was sent to Napa, and Dr. Abrons and Mr. Borrette went to San Francisco to attend her. Every method known to medical science was used to save her life, but without avail. Her demise is a great shock to her family and to her many friends in Napa. Mrs. Borrette, whose maiden was Rita Hopper, was born in Calistoga. Besides her husband, H. V. Borrette of Napa, she is survived by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hopper, of Calistoga, and her brother, Richard Hopper of the same place. The funeral will be held from the Methodist Church in Calistoga at 1:30 o'clock to-morrow (Saturday) afternoon.
