Description	:	Funeral services for Lorna J. Tjaden, 69, of Lake View were held on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997, at 10:30 a.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View. Pastor H.W. Kramer officiated. Mrs. Tjaden passed away at Loring Hospital in Sac City on Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997. She was 69 years, 2 months, and 7 days of age. Music was provided by organist Jim Stock and congregational singing. Mrs. Jim Stock and Mrs. Harold Peters were in charge of floral arrangements. Interment was made in Wall Lake Cemetery in Wall Lake under the direction of Farber and Otteman Funeral Home. Lorna Joyce Wiese was born October 29, 1927, near Wall Lake, the daughter of John and Maria (Gleim) Wiese. She was baptized in Wall Lake on December 11, 1927, and was confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake on June 21, 1942. She attended country school at Clinton Township #7 and was graduated from Lake View High School in 1945. She married Merlin John Tjaden at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on November 27, 1948. This union was blessed with two children: Cynthia Kaye and Lindell Merlin. Mr. and Mrs. Tjaden resided in the Lake View area. They were engaged in farming for a while and Mrs. Tjaden was employed at Farmers State Bank in Lake View for over 30 years. Her hobbies included playing cards, fishing, bowling and working crossword puzzles. Survivors include her husband, Merlin; her daughter, Cynthia Tjaden of Lake View; her son, Lindell Tjaden of Lake View; her mother, Mary Wiese of Lake View; a brother, Raymond Wiese of Shiner, Tx.; three sisters, June Tjaden of Lake View, Nova (Mrs. Vernon) Bean of Galesburg, Il., and Phyllis Franken of Odebolt; three in-laws, Lu Wiese of Wyanadot, Mich., Robert Tjaden of Wall Lake, and Erma Jean Crampton of Denison, She was preceded in death by her father, John Wiese; a brother, Alvin Wiese; a sister-in-law, Catherine Tjaden; and four brothers-in-law: Farrell Tjaden, Dale Franken, Herb Hoaglund and Johnnie Tjaden.
