She was born August 11, 1924 to Adolph and Louise Othmer Buethe in rural Elk Creek. Lorna married William Blecha at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, rural Elk Creek, on November 6, 1949. They lived in Elk Creek, rural Pawnee City, and rural Cook and had lived in Syracuse since 1988. Lorna was a homemaker. She was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Syracuse, and belonged to the quilting group and Circle #5 at the church.She also was a member of the local card... She was born August 11, 1924 to Adolph and Louise Othmer Buethe in rural Elk Creek. Lorna married William Blecha at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, rural Elk Creek, on November 6, 1949. They lived in Elk Creek, rural Pawnee City, and rural Cook and had lived in Syracuse since 1988. Lorna was a homemaker. She was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Syracuse, and belonged to the quilting group and Circle #5 at the church.She also was a member of the local card club. She enjoyed ceramics, quilting, needlework, playing cards, dances, music and flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Eldor Buethe. Survivors include her husband, William Blecha of Syracuse; children, Rodney Blecha and wife, Debbie, Omaha; Sharon Jensen and husband, Kenneth, St. Libory, Neb.; and Susan Scholz and husband, Leslie, Grand Island; seven grandchildren; a brother, Norwin Buethe and wife, Ruth, Seattle, Wash.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 17, 1997 at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Syracuse with Rev. Mary Grundman officiating. Interment was in Park Hill Cemetery, Syracuse.
