Mr. Dunning was born November 28, 1894 in East Templeton, Quebec, Canada. He came to this area with his father, Elza Dunning at the age of seven. He served in the U. S. Army in WWI and married Marguerite Linder in Ellensburg, August 17, 1920. He was a member of St. Andrew's Church. He worked for 16 years as superintendent of the county garage and later at Kelleher Motor Co., until his retirement four years ago. Survivors include his wife, three sons: Loren T., Jr., Ellensburg, Paul F., Seattle, and Michael, serving in the the U. S. Navy in Japan; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Sanders, Ellensburg, and Mrs. Charles E. Haberman, Sunnyside, and 27 grandchildren. The family suggests that anyone wishing to make a memorial in Mr. Dunning's name send it to the Heart Fund, care of Mrs. Emil O. Erickson, 1202 E. Capitol. Lorne came to the Kittitas Valley with his family in 1903. He served in the U. S. Army during World War I and later married Marguerite Linder in 1920. Lorne was the foreman of the Kittitas County Shop for 16 years and later worked for Kellehers Motors. He was very active in the St. Andrews Catholic Church.
