Description	:	Lorraine A. Hultquist, 73, of Grand Island died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at Wedgewood Care Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Peace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Michael Reiners will officiate. Cremation will take place following the service and burial of ashes will be at a later date in the Mount Hope Cemetery at West Point. Mrs. Hultquist was born Oct. 4, 1938, at West Point to Rolland and Valna (Woerman) VonSeggern. Mrs. Hultquist was born Oct. 4, 1938, at West Point to Rolland and Valna (Woerman) VonSeggern. Survivors of the immediate family include her husband of 54 years, Gordon; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brad and Jane Hultquist of Chandler, Ariz., and Mitch Hultquist of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Carol VonSeggern of West Point. Those also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Luke Hultquist, Anna Hultquist, Sarah Wilson and Tarah Wells. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant triplets, Richard, Rita and Randy. Lorraine was raised on a family farm east of West Point in Cuming County. She attended rural school and graduated from Lyons High School, class of 1956. She was united in marriage to Gordon Hultquist on Oct. 12, 1958. They farmed for 13 years near Oakland, before moving to Grand Island in 1972. Lorraine worked at various places. She retired from the Grand Island Public Schools following 17 years of service. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran faith. She loved music having been a wonderful soloist singing in choirs and for many special occasions. Lorraine loved flower gardening and had a great love for animals. She enjoyed baking for her family and friends. Lorraine had a large open heart that made everyone feel welcome.
