Description	:	Lorraine I. Wattier, age 92 of Randolph, passed away on Thursday June 11, 2015 at Colonial Manor of Randolph where she had been a resident since May 1, 2015. She was born in Stanton, Nebraska on November 1 1922, the daughter of Harold and Leone (Matthes) Wilson. She graduated from Randolph High School in 1940 as class valedictorian. She was the first young woman from Randolph to attend Nebraska Girls State. After graduation Lorraine worked at various clerical jobs in Pender and Wayne. Wattier, age 92 of Randolph, passed away on Thursday June 11, 2015 at Colonial Manor of Randolph where she had been a resident since May 1, 2015. She was born in Stanton, Nebraska on November 1 1922, the daughter of Harold and Leone (Matthes) Wilson. She graduated from Randolph High School in 1940 as class valedictorian. She was the first young woman from Randolph to attend Nebraska Girls State. After graduation Lorraine worked at various clerical jobs in Pender and Wayne. Lorraine married Paul Wattier in Tujunga, California on August 28, 1943 and made their home in Lancaster, California while Paul served in the military. In December, 1945, Paul, Lorraine and daughter Paula Sue returned to Randolph upon Paul's discharge from the military. In August 1948 they purchased the grocery store from Paul's brother, Carl, operating it as Wattier's Grocery. Lorraine was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Randolph; Christian Mothers; and St. Jane Frances Honorary P.C.C.W. member. She was a member of Household Arts Club. She enjoyed playing Bridge as an active member of Randolph Senior Center. She loved African violets, reading, crossword puzzles, playing Yahtzee and visiting her favorite casinos. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her sense of humor; especially her joke telling. Most of all she always loved being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her 7 children and spouses Paula Sue (Ken) Rasmussen of Norfolk; Lynn (Cindy) Wattier of LaVista; Linda (Chuck) Lenhoff of Lincoln; Michael (Arlis) Wattier of Omaha; Deb (Greg) Haselhorst of Lincoln; Margaret "Mag" (Randy) Borst of Randolph; Laura Norvell of Omaha; 16 Grandchildren and spouses and 22 Great Grandchildren Jamie (Brenda) Gubbels, Austin and Kaden of Lincoln; Heather Barry, Mackenzie and Spencer of Omaha; Becki Wattier and fiancé Dan Douglas and Emily Sheldon of Farmington, MN; Eric Wattier of Omaha; Chris (Leha) Lenhoff, Jacob and Joey and Macie of Lincoln; Jason (Brenda) Lenhoff and Kyan of Lincoln; April (Ryan) Strong, Brice and Morgan of Omaha; The children of Jeremy Wattier (deceased) Kyle Radil of Bellevue and Roxy Wattier of Omaha; Brian Wattier and Nicole Snyder of Omaha; Erin (Mark) Davies, Kierstyn, Payton and Avrie of Omaha; Corey Haselhorst, Zan and Saeje of Lincoln; Carissa (Christian) Anderson, Skylar, Scarlett and Sunday of Lincoln; Jacob (Karissa) Borst and Benjamin of Candler, NC; Levi (Vicki) Borst of Fremont; Luke Borst of Omaha and fiancé Katie Dettmer of Omaha; Paxton, Allee Norvell of Omaha; Step Grandchildren and Step Great Grandchildren Kevin Rasmussen of Plainview; Loretta (Jim) Keyes and Tristan of Tea, SD and Tad (Brooke) Pospisil of Norfolk; Also surviving sisters Lois Johnson of El Dorado, AR; and Margie (Dave) Jester of Turner, OR; brother-in-law Don Henjum of Salem, OR; sisters-in-law Jean Wattier and Betty Wattier of Randolph. Preceding Lorraine in death are her parents, her husband of 68 years Paul Wattier; Grandson Jeremy Wattier; brother and sister-in-law Darwin (Marge) Wilson; sister Patty Henjum; brother-in-law M.B. Johnson and son-in-law Warren Wiborg. Funeral Service Information Funeral Services: St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church – Randolph, NE Date: Monday June 15, 2015 – 10:30 A.M.
