Mann of Juniata, became the bride of Kenneth F. Bundgaard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Bundgaard of Minden, in a double ring ceremony performed Sunday aftemoon at the First Presbyterian Church in Minden. The Rev. Wilbur F. Swan received the couple's vows in a setting of coral and white gladioli and ferns, lighted by floor candelabra. Wallace Lewenin sang "I Love You Truly," accompanied by Miss Gerry Snook. Mrs. L.E. Weedlun played the wedding marches. LACE TRIMS SKIRT The bride's gown of white satin was styled with a net yoke trimmed with a ruffle of net at the shoulder. The skirt had two tiers, the top one trimmed with lace and extended to make the train. Her fingertip veil, edged with lace, was held by a beaded tiara. Pearls completed her costume. She carried a bouquet of coral gladioli centered with an orchid. Mr, Mann gave his daughter in marriage. Mrs. William Jorgensen was matron of honor and Misses Jeanette Smith and Lorrene Page were bridesmaids. Mrs. Jorgensen's gown was of blue taffeta trimmed with matching lace. The two bridesmaids wore pink and blue, respectively, styled of rayon organdy embroidered with row upon row of white scallops. Miss Gerry Snook of Chester was dressed in a similar blue gown. Mrs. Jorsensen's (sic) flowers were coral gladioli and the two bridesmaids wore white rosebud hair pieces and carried colonial bouquets of yellow gladioli. Sherrie Rouche, cousin of the bride, was dressed in blue as flower girl and Betty Hansen, dressed in pink, carried the rings. William Jorgensen attended the groom and Gaylen and Leroy Hansen were ushers and lighted the tapers. AUNTS TAKE CHARGE The aunt of the bride and groom were in charge of a reception in the church parlors. Mrs. William P. Hansen cut and served the 5-tier wedding cake and Mrs. Floyde Rouche served the ice cream. Miss Mary Ann Christensen of Holstein was in charge of the guest book and Misses Alice and Shirley Walberg presided in the gift room. Before leaving on a short wedding trip to the mountains, the bride changed to a wine suit with which she wore black accessories and an orchid corsage. They will be at home on a farm south of Minden. The bride was graduated this spring from Minden high school and attended Kearney State Teachers College this summer. ========================= The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, January 1, 1953 Mrs. Kenneth Bundgaard, 21, of Juniata, a granddaughter of Mrs. John Page of Nelson, died Saturday at Mary Lanning hospital (sic) in Hastings where she had been a polio patient. She had been ill since mid-September. Mrs. Bundgaard was born June 22, 1931, at Burbank, Calif., and moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mann, to Hastings in the early 1940's. She is survived by her husband and two children, Jimmie, two and a half years old, and Colleen, four months old. Services were held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Fredericksburg church south of Minden with burial in the church cemetery there. =================== The Minden Courier (Minden, NE), Thursday, January 8, 1953; pg. 2 Last Rites For Mrs. Bundgaard Lorraine Inez Mann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred S. Mann of Juniata, was born in Burbank, Calif. June 22, 1931 and departed from this life December 27, 1952 at Mary Lanning hospital in Hastings. She had readied the age of 21 years six months and five days. When Lorraine was 12, the family moved to Nebraska, living for a time in Hastings and later moving to the Minden community. She attended Minden High School, from which she graduated 1949. On August 21 of the same year she was united in marriage to Kenneth Bundgaard of Minden. Two children were born to this union: a son, Jimmy, age 2 1/2 years, and an infant daughter Colleen, four months. Lorraine was a member of the First Presbyterian church (sic) in Minden but following her marriage she and her husband united with the Fredericksburg Lutheran church (sic). Mrs. Bundgaard had been a polio patient since mid-September. She is survived by her husband and two children, her parents and a host of other and friends. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 10 a.m. at Fredericksburg church. Pastor Ernest Grill officiated. Burial was in Fredericksburg cemetery (sic) with Rev. Wilbur Swan assisting in the service at the cemetery.
