Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2011, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Mary Howell of the New Hope United Methodist Church will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be Keith Freese, Samuel Bras, Tyler Bras, Shane Bras and Scott Robertson. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Read More	MUSCATINE, Iowa – Lorraine Bras, 83, a former resident of Muscatine, died on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at her home in Kimberling City, Missouri. Lorraine was born on July 14, 1927, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of John and Vivian Schwarz Olson. She was a graduate of Burlington High School and also graduated from beauty school. She married Dale M. Bras on March 31, 1946, in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1997. She had worked at Singers Sewing Center and Wal-Mart. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose. She liked to sew and was a good seamstress. She also liked to play cards and was a avid boater and enjoyed camping. Those left to honor her memory include two sons, James Bras and wife, Jill, of Illinois City, Illinois, and Steven Bras and Bobbie Drawbaugh, of Muscatine; one daughter, Linda Freese and husband, Albert, of Muscatine; six grandchildren, Keith Freese and wife, Jennifer, Kristi Freese Wellman and husband, Gary Wellman, Samuel Bras, Tyler Bras, Shane Bras, and Sara Bras Doppler and husband, Brodie; six great-grandchildren, Evan Freese, Emily Wellman, Caleb Wellman, Luke Wellman, Kason Doppler, and Max Doppler; two step-great-grandchildren, Emily Myers and Austin Vande Voorde; and her special friend, Dale Wolverton of Kimberling City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
