Lorraine Mavis Johnson was born on June 19, 1930, in Barton to Lawrence and Martha (Isaacson) Johnson. She was raised in Barton, graduating from Barton High School in 1948. After graduation, she worked at the Bottineau Courant as well as various cafes. On July 3, 1953, Lorraine married Maurice Grondahl at Willow City, ND. Read More	Lorraine Grondahl, 90, Minot, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Trinity Hospital in Minot. Lorraine Mavis Johnson was born on June 19, 1930, in Barton to Lawrence and Martha (Isaacson) Johnson. She was raised in Barton, graduating from Barton High School in 1948. After graduation, she worked at the Bottineau Courant as well as various cafes. On July 3, 1953, Lorraine married Maurice Grondahl at Willow City, ND. In 1963, they took over farming and ranching operations near Granville and remained on the farm until they moved to Minot in 1994. Maurice passed away on August 28, 2002. Lorraine moved to Edgewood Vista in Minot on December 27, 2017. Lorraine served as a clerk on her township board for many years. She was also a former member of First Lutheran Church in Granville and their Ladies’ Aide group. More recently, she was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Minot. Lorraine loved reading, puzzles, and crossword puzzles. She also loved baking, canning, and gardening. Her favorite time was spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were always able to put a smile on her face and a warm feeling in her heart. Lorraine is survived by her children, Janelle (Mark) Kuhnhenn, Towner, ND, and Karen (Ralph) Kuhnhenn, Minot, ND, and Darin Grondahl, Minot, ND; grandchildren, Shawn (Patti) Kuhnhenn, Derek (Susan) Kuhnhenn, Allison (John) Pinkerton, and Ashley Kuhnhenn; sister, Marlys (Don) Richard, Bottineau, ND; brother-in-law, Marvin Block, Towner, ND; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; infant son, Kerry; son, Jerome; and sisters, Darlene Block, Joann (Eugene) Grondahl, and Ardith (Clarence) Fahrnkopf. Thompson-Larson Funeral Home
