Description	:	Mrs. Lottie Ellen Chriswell, 71 year old resident of Weott, died Saturday morning in a Eureka hospital following a period of failing health. She was born March 5, 1888, in Alexandria, La., moving to Texas about 1925 and coming to California in 1930. She had resided in various section of the county, and from 1950 until a year ago, had resided in Garberville. She was a member of the Latter Day Saints Church. Read More	Mrs. Lottie Ellen Chriswell, 71 year old resident of Weott, died Saturday morning in a Eureka hospital following a period of failing health. She was born March 5, 1888, in Alexandria, La., moving to Texas about 1925 and coming to California in 1930. She had resided in various section of the county, and from 1950 until a year ago, had resided in Garberville. She was a member of the Latter Day Saints Church. She is survived by sons Jesse Chriswell of Myers Flat, Herman Chriswell of Hayfork, Carl Chriswell of Garberville, L. C. Chriswell of Bridgeville; and daughters, Mrs. Verna Campbell of Weott, Mrs. Viola Mundy of Fresno, Mrs. Ruby Christopherson of Garberville, Mrs. Opal Brown of Hayfork, and Mrs. Minnie Adams, also of Hayfork. Thirty grandchildren and three great grandchildren survive also, as well as sisters, Mrs. Sina Brown of Delville, La., and Mrs. Fanny Bumbles (or Humbles) of Alexandria, La., and a brother, Martin McCann of Lake Charles, La., and numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Goble's Fortuna Mortuary with Branch President Weston K. Hodges of the LDS church, officiating. Interment will follow in Rohnerville Masonic Cemetery. Lottie's first husband, William, born in 1888, died March 25, 1915, at the age of 27 in Avoyelles Parish, LA. Lottie married Henry Chriswell some time prior to 1920 and they were living in Pineville, LA, with Minna and Eva. Lottie and Henry Chriswell's children were Verna (1921-1995), Ruby (1925-1996), Herman, Jessie (1927-1998), Viola, Opal (1930-2004), Carl and L. C. (1932-1996) Chriswell. Home in 1930: Precinct 2, Donley, Texas Home in 1940: Fortuna, Humboldt, California Lottie's second husband, Henry, born January 10, 1884 in Louisiana, died January 19, 1944 in Memphis, TX. His Texas death certificate states burial in Memphis, TX (cemetery not specified).
