Lottie, daughter of Edmund and Mercedes Hubbard, was born August 9, 1922, at Page, Nebraska. The youngest of 12 children, Lottie moved with her family to Fort Laramie, Wyoming in the spring of 1927. Lottie, daughter of Edmund and Mercedes Hubbard, was born August 9, 1922, at Page, Nebraska. The youngest of 12 children, Lottie moved with her family to Fort Laramie, Wyoming in the spring of 1927. She attended Red Cloud Elementary at Fort Laramie, ninth and tenth grades at Scott High in Goshen County, Wyoming, and graduated from Fort Laramie High School in 1940. Later, Lottie would receive her B.A. in Elementary Education from Wayne State Teachers College in Wayne, Nebraska in 1958, a Masters Degree in Elementary Administration from the University of Northern Colorado-Greeley in 1962, as well as advanced specialist credits in Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Lottie taught eight years (1942-1951) in rural schools in Antelope County, Nebraska; two years teaching third and fourth grade (1951-1953) at Orchard, Nebraska; and 33 years as a Kindergarten Teacher (1953-1986) at Creighton Community Schools in Creighton, Nebraska. The last 21 years (1964-1986) she also served as Elementary Principal at Creighton. Lottie retired from teaching in 1986, and then served for four years as a board member of the Nebraska State Teacher's Association-Retired. During her career, she received an award for Outstanding Education, and in 1990, an award for service in Nebraska State Education Association-Retired. Lottie married Otto Faith on June 6, 1947, at Creighton, Nebraska. One daughter, Amber, was born to this union. The family lived their entire married life in the vicinity of Neligh, Plainview, and Creighton. Lottie was a member of the United Church of Christ, VFW Post 1151 Auxiliary, and the Walter T. Larsen Senior Citizens. She was a also a life member of the Nebraska State Teachers Association and the National Education Association. Lottie was preceded in death by: husband, Otto Faith; granddaughter, Sophia Hesse; sisers, Auralea Hubbard, Edna Geisler, Alma Korb, & Everal Ritterling; and brothers, Oscar, Arthur, Guy, Earl, Charlie, Jasper, and Clarence.
