Description	:	ARARAT, NC ~ Loving mother, Mrs. Lottie Jane Chilton Riddle, 95, of Ararat passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Central Continuing Care in Mount Airy. She was born in Surry County on Nov. 19, 1911, to John Frank and Jezzebell Simmons Chilton. Mrs. Riddle was married to George Elbert Riddle for 63 wonderful years and worked as a homemaker. She was a member of Ararat Friends and attended Double Creek Church of Christ. Read More	ARARAT, NC ~ Loving mother, Mrs. Lottie Jane Chilton Riddle, 95, of Ararat passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Central Continuing Care in Mount Airy. She was born in Surry County on Nov. 19, 1911, to John Frank and Jezzebell Simmons Chilton. Mrs. Riddle was married to George Elbert Riddle for 63 wonderful years and worked as a homemaker. She was a member of Ararat Friends and attended Double Creek Church of Christ. Mrs. Riddle was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Bobby Lee Riddle; two sisters: Nonnie Jones and Lula Danley; five brothers: Charlie, Herman, Manuel, Herbert, and Coe Chilton; and a great-granddaughter, Sara Williams. She is survived by two daughters: Mary Jane Riddle of Ararat and Patty Riddle Bowman of Siloam; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Franklin and Betty Riddle, of Ararat; a daughter-in-law, Rachel Riddle, of Dobson; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law: Marie, Clio, and Zola Chilton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at Double Creek Church of Christ, with Elder Greg Simmons and Brother Robert Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 25, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Joseph and Betty Riddle of Pratt Road in Ararat. Memorials may be made in floral tribute, or to Double Creek Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, c/o Joyce Hardy, 648 Double Creek Road, Dobson, NC 27017. A special thank you to the staff of Central Continuing Care for the love and care they have shown to our mother.
