Description	:	Death has again visited our circle, and taken from us one of the most loved of our community, and one who seemed full of promise for a long and useful life. On Thursday last, Mrs. Lou. Fugard, the wife of Noble Fugard was taken ill with puerperal convulsions. A physician was speedily summoned, and on his arrival he pronounced the case a very serious one, and her recovery very doubtful. He asked for counsel and another physician was sent for. Fugard, the wife of Noble Fugard was taken ill with puerperal convulsions. A physician was speedily summoned, and on his arrival he pronounced the case a very serious one, and her recovery very doubtful. He asked for counsel and another physician was sent for. All was done that skilled physicians and kind friends could do but death came to her relief on Friday at about 10 o'clock. The remains were taken to Kellogg for burial, followed by a very large procession of mourning friends. She had been wedded about two years and her married life has been an extremely happy one. Her husband feels his loss deeply and feels lonely and greatly cast down. He has the sympathy of our whole community. But his loss is her eternal gain, as we fully believe she has gone to reap her eternal reward in Heaven. Her age was twenty years. The funeral sermon will be preached at the Baptist Church in Killduff at 11 o'clock next Sunday morning, by Rev. L. F. Compton. Source: Newton Journal; Wednesday, September 19, 1888
