Funeral Services were Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Florence, South Dakota with Fr. Doug Binsfeld as celebrant, Carolyn Maag as the organist and LeeAnn Maag as soloist. Lou Mary Darrington, the daughter of Martin and Cecelia (Senske) Grygiel was born on June 14, 1916 in Ortley, South Dakota. Lou grew up and attended school in Blooming Valley, near Ortley. She married Alfred Darrington on May 25, 1943 in the Blessed Sacrament Church in Florence, South Dakota. The couple was married for 33 years before Alfred passed away July 24, 1976. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Michael, and her brothers, IJ Grygiel, Leon Grygiel and Martin Grygiel; and her sisters, Agnes Tschakert, Leona Murphy, Fran Korbel and Theresa Ries. Lou is survived by her children, Mary Darrington of Watertown, SD, Barbara (Glenn) Frentz of Watertown, SD, Joseph (Mary) Darrington of Blaine, MN, Thomas Darrington of Florence, SD and Frances (Lloyd) Howell of Watertown, SD; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Hanten; brother-in-law, Paul Korbel; sister-in-law, Lois Grygiel; and numerous nieces and nephews. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SJW # 46933521 provided links to parents. 8-1-2018
