Mrs. Woodcock was born in Knoxville Iowa, July 31, 1899. She came to Port Angeles in 1913 and made her home here with her sister, Mrs. Reginald Simmonds, until her graduation from Angeles High School in 1916. She attended Bellingham Normal School and taught in grade schools of the state, having been a teacher at the Washington School here for three years. Mrs. Woodcock was married to Wilmot T. Woodcocks of Sequim on Feb.21,1924 and continued teaching in the city schools until the end of the school year. Since then she has lived near Sequim. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, Wilmot Woodcock of Sequim; a sister Ada Simmonds of Sedro-Woolley; her father Elijah Wilcutt. of Knoxville, Iowa; and two brothers, Forest Wilcutt, of Eaton, Colorado, and Charles Wilcutt,of Knoxville, Iowa. Her Baby daughter passed away Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Woodcock has a great number of friends in Port Angeles including many children, whom she taught in school, who have known and loved her during the years living in in this city, and who are grieved to know of her illness and death. The service will be held at the Methodist Church I Sequim on Wednesday, January 28, at 1:30. unknown news paper on obit was Clallam County(Washington)Gen Society Note also with Obit YOUNG MOTHER AND BABY ARE BURIED TOGETHER A young mother and her infant daughter were laid to rest in the same casket and buried together Wednesday,the baby clasped in her mothers arms in death as in life. The mother was Mrs. Wilmot Woodcock, and the baby, born January 6, 1925 was Gertrude Beth. The little one passed away Jan, 25, 1925 and the following day the mother answered the final call after suffering with uremic poisoning and had been seriously ill since the birth of the child. Mrs. Woodcock was born in Iowa in 1898. Her maiden name was Lucygne Wilcutt. She came to Washington in 1913 and was employed as fifth grade teacher in one of the Port Angeles schools for a number of years. She was married to Mr. Woodcock, a popular young East end farmer,Feb.21,1924, and they have since resided in their new little ranch bungalow, which is located near the Matriotti (Maybe misspelled) corners. The double funeral was held from the Sequim Methodist Church, Wednesday, Rev. T. W. Bundy, pastor , conducted the service. Interment was in the Dungeness cemetery.
