Louella was born October 17, 1918, to Jake Harvey Parks and Carrie Hamilton Parks on the family homestead in Pleasant Valley, near Okanogan, WA. Louella attended the two room Pine Grove School for all of her elementary education. In 1936, Louella graduated form Okanogan High School. That year, she and Elbert "Al" Thomas Bissonnette were married. Following Elbert's trade as a Carpenter, the family lived in Electric City, Tacoma, Bremerton, Brewster and Wenatchee, WA. The couple raised a family of eight children: Carole (William) McKinnis, Elbert M. Bissonnette, Yvonne (Richard) Jones, David Bissonnette, Joseph Bissonnette, Faith (Alan, deceased) Naluai, George (Jane) Bissonnette and Warren Bissonnette. Until Elbert's death in May 1988, the couple travelled all over the American West and to Hawaii. They enjoyed sight-seeing and visits to their children and grandchildren. In her 30's, Louella became a licensed practical nurse. She followed this profession for 33 years at the Wenatchee Deaconess Hospital, which later became North Central Washington Hospital. After several years of widowhood, Louella married Henry Barker, an old classmate from the Pine Grove School. The couple lived in Arlington until Henry's death in 2004. Services for Louella were held July 15, 2012, a the Omak Memorial Cemetery.
