Mrs. Bromert, 80, of Carroll, died Thursday, March 17, at the Carroll Health Center nursing home in Carroll. Father Richard Remmes will be celebrant at the Mass. Lector will be Melissa Collison. Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. today at Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and there will be a Christian wake service at 8 p.m. today by Holy Spirit Parish at the funeral home. Born July 15, 1913, at Cherokee, Iowa, she was a daughter of Ewold and Susan (Reuter) Fleskes. She moved with her family to the Maple River, Iowa community where she attended St. Francis Schools. She was married to Edward J. Bromert at St. Patrick Church in Audubon on Feb. 9, 1935. Following their marriage the couple made their home in Carroll, and in 1955 they moved to Boone. The moved back to Carroll in 1980. Mrs. Bromert enjoyed golf, gardening, music and craft work. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish in Carroll, the parish ladies guild, the Boone Chapter of the PEO and the St. Anthony Regional Hospital auxiliary in Carroll. Mrs. Bromert is survived by a daughter, Mary Tigges, and her husband, Jerry, of Carroll: six grandchildren, Michelle Schrenck and her husband, Bill, of Dedham, Greg Tigges and his wife, Joni, of Breda, Lynne Dvorak and her husband, Jeff, of Carroll, Melissa Collison and her husband, Nick, of West Minster, Colo., Patt Tigges and his wife, Jodi, of Carroll and Chris Tigges of Broomfield, Colo.: six great-grandchildren; a sister, Julianne Meyer, and her husband, Al, of Seattle, Wash.; a brother, Ralph Fleskes, and his wife, Bertha, of Tulsa, Okla.; and three sisters-in-law, Margaret Bromert of Carroll, Helen Bromert of Carroll and Velma Blum of Harlan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward, in May 1993; and two brothers, Lawrence and Walter Fleskes. "
