Born in Greer, SC, she was the widow of the late Rev. Peter Weldon Morgan and daughter of the late Hiram Crain and Elsie Campbell Crain. She was a graduate of North Greenville College, was the former owner/operator of Morgan Manor Rest Home, retired from Graham Cash and Hamrick Kids, and was a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Jerry L. Morgan and wife, Sherri, of Gaffney; a sister, Laverne Neves of Columbia; a grandson, Zachary Matthew Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Riddle and eleven brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Grassy Pond Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Martin Hogg officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, SC 29342.
