LOUETTA BLANCHE BOSTON Louetta Blanche, daughter of Era Edwin and Nina Hurst Hovenden, was born March 3, 1913, in Page County. She attended school at Coin, graduating with the class of 1930. After attending beauty school, she owned and operated her own beauty shop in both Coon Rapids and Clarinda. On May 11, 1941, she was united in marriage with Russell Norman Boston at St. Joseph, Missouri. Four children were born to this union. After her husband returned from the war, they made their home in Coon Rapids. Louetta worked for Shannon's as a hair stylist. For over 25 years she was a dealer of Stanley Home Products and received many awards and trips. Louetta's husband died on October 30, 1983. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Louetta was a 50 year member of the Rebekah Lodge and was Past Noble Grand. She was also a member of the Heritage club. Louetta's health failed rapidly after she was diagnosed with cancer and she died at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll on Tuesday, June 22,1999 at the age of 86 years, three months and 19 days. Besides her husband, Louetta was preceded in death by her son, James Boston, in 1989, two grandchildren David and Monica Muhr; and two brothers William Hovenden in infancy, and Roland Hovenden. Louetta is survived by two daughters, Shirley and her husband, David Muhr, of Coon Rapids, and Betty and her husband, Robert Christensen, of Coon Rapids; a son, Richard Boston and his wife, Mary, of South Windsor. CT; eleven grandchildren: Delinda and her husband, Matt Scheuermann; Aaron Muhr and his wife, Dawn; Vennessa Muhr, Erica Muhr; Shawn Muhr; Brian Boston; Rachel Muilenburg, Robbi Christensen; Carri Christensen; Nicholas Boston; Zachary Boston; three great-grandsons: Andrew and Dylan Scheuermann; and Randy Muhr; one great-granddaughter, Hunter Muhr; and other relatives and friends.
