Hoenshell, was born in Iowa county, Iowa, November 13, 1869. She passed away at Wise Memorial hospital in Omaha, July 10th at the age of 59 years, 7 months and 27 days, after an illness of about one year. Hoenshell, was born in Iowa county, Iowa, November 13, 1869. She passed away at Wise Memorial hospital in Omaha, July 10th at the age of 59 years, 7 months and 27 days, after an illness of about one year. On March 15, 1891 she was united in marriage to James W. Johnson and to this union was born one son, Joseph who with the husband, daughter-in-law, Mrs. Joseph Johnson, and six brothers , Joseph, Marion, Dee, Ovie, Earl and Roy Hoenshell , survive her. Mrs. Johnson came to Nebraska with her parents at the age of four years and has been a resident of Greenwood and vicinity all but the last five years, which she lived at Blair, Nebraska. Mrs. Johnson joined the Christian church of Greenwood when a girl, 15 years old and never transferred her membership elsewhere. Her Mother, Mrs. Catherine Hoenshell, died on September 9, 1922. Three years and one week later her father Mr. J. D. Hoenshell, passed on to join the loved wife and mother. Funeral services were held for Mrs. Johnson on Friday, July 12, at the Christian church with Rev. C. A. Parks of Bethany, a former pastor , conducting the funeral. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery. A large crowd of relatives and friends were present and a great profusion of flowers donated.
