Along with his father and brother, Mr. Klinker owned and operated the Klinker Tobacco Company in Ripley. He also owned and operated the West End Grocery and was a farmer in Ripley for many years. Klinker June 15, 1902 ~ April 25, 2004 (age 101) Louis A. Klinker, age 101, of Ripley, Ohio died Sunday, April 25, 2004 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley, Ohio. Along with his father and brother, Mr. Klinker owned and operated the Klinker Tobacco Company in Ripley. He also owned and operated the West End Grocery and was a farmer in Ripley for many years. Mr. Klinker attended St. Michael School and was the oldest member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio. Mr. Klinker was born on June 15, 1902 in Ripley, Ohio the son of the late Martin and Appollonia (Mussinan) Klinker. He was also preceded in death by his wife of sixty-seven years, Jeannette Swisher Klinker; one daughter - Lois Klinker Dragoo; one great grandson - Greg Bradford; one sister - Mary Klinker VanHoesen and two brothers - Raymond and Clarence Klinker. Mr. Klinker is survived by one daughter - Shirley Klinker Voelker of Marietta, ohio; one son - Randall P. Klinker of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister - Emma Klinker Hauke of Ripley, Ohio and ten grandchildren. Also surviving are fifteen great grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Katherine Swisher Culbertson of Largo, Florida. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6:30 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Michael Catholic Church, 300 Market Street, Ripley, Ohio 45167.
