Description	:	Lewis Carl Niebling, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Niebling, was born in Burlington, Iowa, Feb. 26, 1876 and passed from this life at the Yocom hospital, Chariton, Iowa on June 6, 1953 at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 10 days. Mr. Niebling moved to the Unity community at the age of 15 and has resided there ever since. He was known by friends and neighbors through out southern Iowa. Read More	Lewis Carl Niebling, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Niebling, was born in Burlington, Iowa, Feb. 26, 1876 and passed from this life at the Yocom hospital, Chariton, Iowa on June 6, 1953 at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 10 days. Mr. Niebling moved to the Unity community at the age of 15 and has resided there ever since. He was known by friends and neighbors through out southern Iowa. He was active in community affairs and was always concerned about the welfare of his neighbors and friends. He was a member of the Unity Baptist church and has taught a Sunday school class in the church for 23 years. On October 18, 1896 he was united in marriage to Cora Emma Ulrich. Mr. and Mrs. Niebling moved to their present home in 1910 where he resided until his death. To this union one daughter was born, Mrs. Carl Reed who lived near the Niebling home. Beside the bereaved widow and daughter, Mr. Niebling is survived by one brother, Wesley Niebling, Moline, Ill., one sister, Mrs. George Wittich, Muscatine, a son-in-law, Carl Reed, two granddaughters, Geraldine Frame and Lavona Jean Grimes and the husbands of the granddaughters, James Frame and Earl Grimes, also two great grandchildren, James and Michael Frame. Mr. Niebling was a kind and thoughtful husband, father and grandfather. He served his family and his God with pride and joy. His kind deeds and devoted life will long be remembered by all who knew him. Burial was in the Corydon cemetery.
