He was born June 15, 1945, in Switzerland County, the son of Emerson Leon and Mae Louise Ackerman O'Day. He had served in the U.S. Army. Read More	Madison Courier---November 24, 2006 Madison Courier---November 25, 2006 Louis Carroll O'Day, 61, of Lexington died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, at his residence. He was born June 15, 1945, in Switzerland County, the son of Emerson Leon and Mae Louise Ackerman O'Day. He had served in the U.S. Army. He lived in Jefferson County the past 30 years and had worked in the auto sales industry for more than 30 years, having worked for many years for Craig Buick Pontiac in Madison as well as several other auto sales companies. He was currently working for Field Star Gas Co. He was a member of Hanover United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Stacks of Power Lodge in Madison. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed football, the outdoors and working in his yard. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Perry O'Day, whom he married July 14, 2001; one son, Michael O'Day of Clearwater, Fla.; one daughter, Diane Yilmar of Naples, Fla.; one sister, Janet Weber of Madison; four grandchildren; one nephew; and several other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, who died April 18, 1976; his mother, who died Jan. 20, 2000; and one stepson, Shane Taylor. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be private on Monday at Vevay Cemetery. The Vevay American Legion and Vevay VFW Post will present a flag at the grave. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from noon Sunday until the service. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Hanover United Methodist Church Building Fund. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
