Description	:	Case was a member of Jimmy Palmer's orchestra. He and three other band members were enroute from Ames, IA where they played an Iowa State college dance the night before, to Norfolk where they were slated for an engagement at King's Ballroom. The band's car was hit head-on by another car carrying six young people from a church party, when their front tire blew out.
