Hoffman, well known resident of Stanton township, passed away Thursday morning at his home following a heart attack. Mr. Hoffman had not been in good health for several months. He was 75 years of age. Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the home and at two o'clock from St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. L. L. Belk officiating. Interment will be made in the City Cemetery under the direction of Mauer's funeral home. Surviving to mourn his loss besides his widow are four sons: Werner and Theodore, of LeMars; Elmer, of Akron; and Louis, of Storden, Minn.; and one daughter, Gertrude. There is also one brother, John, and a sister, Katherine. Louis J. Hoffman was born on March 6, 1865, at Florence, Illinois, and had lived in Plymouth county for the past 50 years, where he farmed for many years.
