Young Blohm was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Blohm, who formerly lived in the Audubon area and now live near Adair in Guthrie county. Louis James Blohm was born August 17, 1951 at Carroll, the son of Louis and Genevieve Blohm. He was baptized in the Audubon Methodist church and attended grade schools here. He was a 1969 graduate of Guthrie Center High School and since then had been working with his father on the farm and employed at an auto agency in Guthrie Center. He was active in FFA work in school. Surviving besides the parents are two sisters, Mrs. Judy Nell of Des Moines, and Mrs. Linda Sargent of Guthrie Center; grandparents, Mrs. Mary Blohm of Audubon, and Mr. and Mrs. James Cline of Guthrie Center. Authorities at Guthrie Center said they planned to file a traffic charge against Richard McCann, 17, of Guthrie Center, driver of the car in which Blohm was riding." Cause of death: shock, as result of car accident. He is remembered as a very friendly, kind, and helpful Christian young man. Casket bearers: Jim Benshoof, Richard Anderson, Darwin Campbell, Rick Kesselring, Leonard Sargent, Roy Sargent. "Crossing the Bar" Sunset and evening star, And one clear call for me!
